Weddings at The Beverly Hills Montage
I was raised bicoastally, splitting my time between New York and LA for most of my teenage years. As I have gotten older, I’ve always considered Southern California to be my second home. And in so many ways it is…I’m in and out of Los Angeles and Orange County every month.
Of all the places in Beverly Hills, I have a special love for The Montage. This stunning property opened 10 years ago in the very center of the city, and I immediately fell in love with the classic, vintage Old Hollywood vibe and the boutique feel of the space. Over the years, I’ve gotten to stay, dine, and even participate in a wedding show onsite. I’ve brunched across from Justin Bieber, worked out one machine over from Mick Jagger, and had some of the most extraordinary spa experiences of my life in their two level spa and salon.
What I love most of all is the food and beverage program and the architecture of their one ballroom. From the in house restaurant (formerly Scarpetta) to the rooftop cafe and the inhouse catering, every bite of food the property serves is exquisite and beautiful. At the top of the building sits £10, one of only two dedicated Macallan loungees in the world. Luxe and stunning., tucked discreetly on the second floor of the hotel, £10 welcomes true connoisseurs to the lounge specializing in the world’s most precious whisky, The Macallan Single Malt, from a globally celebrated distiller based in Speyside, Scotland. The space has an open lounge, and a private balcony available for cocktail parties and dinners. And the views! Intimate groups will go nuts for it…
Below in the center of the campus are the Beverly Canon Gardens. Guests can apply for permits and host events in this incredibly exclusive, lush location. The Montage Terrace is a beautiful balcony above the Gardens, and there is one ballroom called The Marquesa that holds up to 300 guests. With over 5,000 square feet of space, colonial style chandeliers, and interior opera balconies, this ballroom is the ideal setting for a couple seeking glamour and opulence. The neutral color base lends itself to any palette a couple would want, and the team onsite is beyond accommodating. They just do such a lovely job romancing everyone.
As a brand, the Montage is expanding and growing, with so many unique and gorgeous products, like the Pendry brand. And the company is founded by Alan Fuerstman. When I opened The Bellagio in 1998, Mr. Fuerstman was the Vice President of Hotel Operations, and while we didn’t work together on a regular basis, I had the opportunity to meet him on a few occasions and he was always just such a pillar of hospitality. Seeing him move on to found his own hospitality company and grow the business into such an acclaimed brand has been inspiring.
I’ll be back at The Montage Beverly Hills in a few weeks, then on to The Pendry San Diego in February. I’m hoping to see you there.
