The Business Blueprint For Wedding Planner and The Wedding Planner Masterclass Are Now Open for Enrollment

Do you dream of starting your own wedding planning business, but you aren’t quite sure where to begin? Or, perhaps you own your business already, and things are okay, but you yearn for something more?

Do you see a gap in where you are, and where you want to be? In my coaching business, I meet people who know they need to change, but they struggle with where they should go and what they should do. I get it, because I’ve been there! Despite having a degree and over 20 years of experience, there was nothing in my education or my experience that had prepared me for the risks or the rewards involved in setting up my own business. I spent the first few years of my business wondering if I had set things up correctly, and struggling to figure out if I was doing the right things. As the years passed by, I looked at where my business was, and where I wanted it to be. There was a gap, and I had to close it.

In the last 10 years alone I’ve spent countless hours in seminars, read oh so many books, and I’ve invested over $150,000 in my own professional development via courses, and conferences. I have worked with the most brilliant coaches and actively participate in think tanks. I was invited to speak at conferences around the world, to teach alongside other professionals that I respect, and I’ve been honored to coach a number of businesses and owners. Still, it never feels like enough. Week after week I am approached by someone who wants coaching or education, and I decline simply because there aren’t enough hours in the day for me to help everyone. But I want to! Success for one of us is success for all of us, and each time a wedding planner ups their game, or a company eleates the way in white they do business, it legitimizes out professional across all lines.

What if there was a way that I could coach more people at once? What would it look like if I stripped away all of the stuff you could Google on your own, and just deliver the most important information? How much could I fit into one online course, and would it be possible for someone to go through it in one day, or over a weekend, and start making immediate changes in their businesses?

Online education was the answer to all of these questions, and I truly believe it is the way of the future.

By enrolling in courses online, you are allowed to learn at your own pace, in the comfort of your own home, and at a fraction of the cost of trade schools or college. Online courses take less time, they are devoid of all the fluff, the information is immediately actionable, and the lessons are taught “peer to peer” by someone in the trenches with you. By taking a course produced by an industry leader, you are getting the most timely information in a relevant and practical way that a text book simply can’t compete with.

Which is why we have produced TWO online courses for wedding and event planners.

THE BUSINESS BLUEPRINT FOR WEDDING PLANNERS is a 4 hour crash course that teaches you exactly how to start your own wedding planning business. Developed for those who are just starting out and early int their professional development, this course takes you through the naming of your business, the filing of paperwork, the financials you need to know, and it also gives you valuable information on social media, email correspondence, timelines, and budgets. This is the course I wish I had 10 years ago, when I was desperate to start my own business, confused about whether or not I was doing it right, and desperate for someone to come along and say, “Here, let me help you.” Enroll now, follow the steps I’ve laid out, and you will have your business established and set up properly with just a few simple filings!

THE WEDDING PLANNER MASTERCLASS is a professional development course designed to help independent wedding planners bridge the gap between where they are and where they want to be. In this course, I take you through the lessons I learned and the skills I developed while growing my business from a small, local business to an internationally recognized wedding planning and event design business. This course goes deeper into high level topics such as advances pricing strategies, how to get published, dealing with the press, and the management of third party vendors.

Both of these courses were quietly released to my exclusive Facebook group, and then on social, and the results have been so amazing! Now that they have been tested by my inner circle, I am so proud to offer them to the public!

And with that, I want to just share a personal story about my real motivation, and where my desire to do this comes from.

From the moment I discovered the wedding planning industry, I searched for information on how to develop my skills, how to grow as an artist, and how to run a business. In the 1990s there were very few resources for someone like me. In fact, when I enrolled in college and told my advisor that I wanted to be a wedding planner I was put on the catering track because, in 1995, being an independent wedding planner was not seen as a viable profession. Yet I knew that this was my passion, and that creating extraordinary events for extraordinary people was my calling. I promised myself that one day I would own my own wedding planning business, and that when I did I would find a way to give back to the next generation. There is a saying and a meme floating around that talks about being the person you needed when you were younger. I made that promise to myself years ago, vowing that I would be the light for someone else, and help legitimize the industry in any way I could be helping the next generation of wedding planners.

One night I was talking to my husband, going on and on about a new book I had read and explaining how I was going to apply the principles to a speech I was working on. I wished everyone could hear it, and was struggling to think of a way to break down the information and share it. What if there was a way that I could coach more people without negatively impacting my existing clients? What would it look like if I stripped away all of the stuff you could Google on your own, and just deliver the most important information? How much could I fit into one course, and would it be possible for someone to go through it in one day, or over a weekend, and start making immediate changes in their businesses? And with that….Our online educational series was born!

First and foremost, I will always be a wedding planner. Working with my couples, bending the world to their will and creating unbelievable experiences for them is my passion and my calling. It is truly the reason that I exist, and I am so lucky to occupy this space in the industry. But somewhere inside, I still hear the voice of that kid struggling to find answers, and I believe that have a responsibility to help the next generation of wedding planners as they enter our industry.

I love this business, and am forever humbled by the fact that I get to do what I do every day. I am the maker of dreams come true, Oz behind the curtain, and every year I get to watch from the side of the room as the world becomes a more beautiful place; one couple at a time. With these courses, I now get to help others do the same,

How lucky am I?

Always…
