Pretty in Pink Cherry Blossom Wedding at Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas

Jackie and Kent grew up together, and shared a life long friendship. They went through high school as best friends and even went to prom together before one day waking up with this feeling that things had changed. It was an, “Oh, there you are” moment for the two. Years later, surrounded by their family and friends, Jackie and Kent said “I Do” in their favorite city, Las Vegas.
Planning and designing this wedding meant a lot to me, as the groom is a part of our extended hospitality family. As the front desk manager of The Mandarin Oriental New York, he has certainly seen his fare share of opulent weddings, and his attention to detail is impeccable. While my bride doesn’t have a hotel or events background, she was very clear about what she wanted. Pink, lush, and romantic were the go-to words she kept repeating, and I knew that Javier Valentino would deliver.
The bride wore a stunning gown by Miss Hayley Paige, and opted not to see he groom before the wedding. Instead, his first glimpse of her was at the ceremony. Jackie walked through an old-world, wrought iron gate tied together with an arch dripping in pink blooms. The aisle was carpeted in pale pink and ivory rose petals leading up to an alter of flowering trees. Wooden bases and gold chiavari chairs added natural elements to the ballroom, while the soft amber lighting and drapes kept it elegant. Their vows, a mix of personal and traditional promises, were shared before they finally had their first kiss as husband and wife.
After a cocktail hour filled with passed hors d’oeuvres, wine, and champagne, guests were met at the ballroom by a stream of butlers, standing at thee ready with glasses of champagne. Each flute held a scroll with the guests name and table number. Bout round and long banquet tables were set around a high gloss white dance floor, topped with elegant glass vases teeming with pink cherry blossoms. Mercury glass votives, vases stuffed full of roses and hydrangea, and live candles filled the tables. To stop the pink from appearing too precious, we added shades of deep burgundy. This unexpected pop of color added depth and edge to a room that would ordinarily be a little too sweet for my groom. Ever a foodie, my bride carried her favorite macarons with her from New York, and we set a box at the top of the charger for each guest.
Once the toasting and dinner was complete, we turned the room over to DJ Breeze, who kept the party going with a mix of classic dance tunes and current Top 40 hits! In lieu of a bouquet toss, Jackie presented her flowers to the woman who has been married the longest at over 50 years!
Jackie and Kent finished the night off with an after-hours party on the strip before saying goodbye to their family and friends. Knowing how much they love the city, I have the feeling that I will be seeing them again and again!
Until then, please leave your congratulations for the couple in the comment section below. And if you love the cherry blossoms and color palette comment “Pretty in Pink” below!
