Engagement Session in an Airplane Hanger

Jennifer and Aaron live with their heads in the clouds; literally!
With two careers rooted in constant travel, Jennifer (a consultant) and Aaron (a pilot) didn't often find themselves in the same place, and their initial courtship took place over hours of phone calls, emails, and text messages. When they finally met in person, their first date lasted for over 8 hours, allowing them to bond over their shared lifestyle, love of travel, and mutual distain for the Newark Airport.
After two years together, the couple traded their studio in Chicago for a house in the suburbs. They closed on their first home together in St. Louis, MO, the heartland of the Midwest. Jennifer spent her day pouring over details, ensuring that every inch of the house was perfect. Aaron couldn't be bothered with that - He had other plans!
With keys in hand, Aaron opened the door to their new home. Jennifer was confused, finding that her once empty house with that new paint smell she loved had been magically filled to the brim with roses and champagne! Aaron turned to her and asked, "So honey...Do you think this day could get any better?" And in that moment Aaron got down on one knee and proposed. To this day, Jennifer doesn't remember exactly what he said or what she said, but she desicribes it as was one of the most heartfelt and honest moments of her life. (Swoon!)
Grounded engagement photos for a couple who spend more than half of their lives in the sky just wouldn't do! To honor the early days of their relationship and shared love of aviation, they asked if I though I could find an airplane hanger. Could I!
This engagement shoot was so uniquely and perfectly "them". As Jennifer says, "Planes may take us in opposite directions sometimes with our jobs, but for this engagement session, planes brought us together. I am so over the moon!"
And in the end, in a cosmic twist of faith, it's safe to say they owe it all to Newark!
