Since it's inaugural meeting in September 2014, WIPA Las Vegas has showcased classic luxury at The Four Seasons, iconic Las Vegas venues such as The Venetian, and the revitalization of old Las Vegas at The Downtown Grand. For our Summer 2015 program, we wanted to return to luxury in a fresh, modern way.
WIPA Las Vegas could not have been more excited to be hosted by ARIA Las Vegas. As one of the crown-jewel properties of the MGM and located in City Center, ARIA blends a cool, steely sophistication with natural elements, a tree motif, superb food and beverage, and some of the finest service available in Las Vegas; making this one of those locations sought out by couple's seeking something unexpected for their wedding guests.
Our speaker was none other than the President and Founder of the luxury lifestyle brand Kiki De Montparnasse, Kama Carnes. Kama wanted to bring a bit of the brands style to life, and set up mini boutiques in the Chapel's dressing rooms. In the bridal chambers we added a champagne tasting along side models wearing Kiki's wedding lingerie ad home products such as candles and pillows. The Groom's Room featured a billiards table, a scotch tasting, and books on the art of erotica. In the main chapel, we had a beautiful ice carving along side aphrodisiacs such as champagne, oysters, and chocolate.
After registration guests were lead into the ballroom which had been beautifully appointed by the team at MGM Events. A five tier cake showed off the 3D mapping currently making the rounds on the wedding scene, while tables were set with textured ivory linens topped with crystal starburst chargers and architectural, modern centerpieces which allowed guests to see one another and the presentation. Large crystals fell from the sky, completing the romantic, glittering look.
ARIA's culinary team took center stage as they sent out one divine dish after the other. The showpiece was dessert, which was less of a course and more of an event! The lights dimmed, music and video played, and waiters brought out dishes that came to life with smokey dry ice.
Only after we had eaten did Kama take the stage to educate the group not only on the history of Kiki de Montparnasse, but the way that they use the five senses to impact a romantic experience to empower brides and grooms to love one another in a deeper, more intimate way. Kama was thoughtful and deliberate, showing how many of their principles could be applied by different segments of the wedding planning industry.
At the ends, Kiki models and ambassadors entered the room and took to the stage, showcasing the newest items in bridal lingerie and accessories.
Afterwards, we were all invited to continue mixing and mingling in Kiki's boutique, just minutes away in Crystals Shopping Center. There we found more sparkling beverages, chocolate, strawberries, and almonds while we walked, shopped, and learned more from Kama and her team.
Many, many thanks to the talented team that came together to produce such a wonderful event, and to our members, guests, and attendees who come out and truly embody the principles of this dynamic organization!
