Who Are We? The Culture of Andrea Eppolito Events
Election Day has everyone talking about their beliefs, their culture, who they are, and what they stand for. A few months ago, I served as a Mentor for The Balance Reverie Retreat. While there, I went through a training seminar designed to help small business owners identify and actually verbalize what means the most to them.
So many people today are searching for a way to separate their business and their lives. I am not one of those people. Who I am is exactly who and what my business is. And visa versa. I'm proud of that.
But what exactly does "that" mean? What is your culture? It has been said that "culture is the every day reality of your business" but making sense out of marketing jargon can come off as in authentic. In other words, it can sound like bullshit.
On this Election Day, I want to share with you the belief system that has guided principles of my business, and my life.
At Andrea Eppolito Events.....
We are timeless and luxurious. We believe in the relentless pursuit of building a life that is designed for you and you alone. We are at our best when we are creating something new for and with people we trust. We are not easy or boring. We love it when clients and partners challenge us to be better. We recognize that growth happens from the uncomfortable and we are beautiful because of it. We provide one to one personal service no matter what. We commit to honoring our friends and partners with our hearts. To achieve immortality and a legacy of love, you must do what others will not and come from a place of truth.
Not all of these words are pretty. Relentless, for example. Not a great, soft, wedding-pretty word. But the truth is, I am. And that's both a good and a bad thing. Accepting that I am not always easy or nice...Tough but true. I am naturally a little edgy, and sometimes those edges are rough. But even my rough edges are coated with love....I look for clients and colleagues that challenge me, and I strive to challenge them right back. I like the uncomfortable places. It's where I do my best work.
My biggest dream is to do something extraordinary. Every wedding, every time. I want to make the world a beautiful place for one couple, on one night. Some people have a profession. For me, it's an obsession.
I don't know which way tonight's election is going to go.I don't know who will win, or what the future holds for any of us. But I do know this....On November 9th I will wake up and I will still be a wedding planner. I will love my job and my life, my family and my friends. My couples will fall in love with ideas and each other. Weddings will be planned and designed.
I will continue celebrating life, luxury and above all else....love. And I will do it...Relentlessly.
