When a Las Vegas Power Couple Gets Married - Lauren and Cory

What does it look like when a Las Vegas wedding professional from the Four Seasons marries an iconic restaurateur? Pure magic!
Fun loving, adventurous, and perfectly matched, the Lauren and Cory met in August of 2012 and were "long distance social media friends" for a few years. In the summer of 2015, Lauren was headed to New Orleans, set to attend the same event conference where she met Cory. She and her colleagues jokingly suggested he fly into town to hang out with them. On a whim, he did. The first night found Lauren with no work plans, and so she joined Cory for a dinner, just the two of them. Within minutes the groom recalls them both sharing a feeling of, in his words, “what the hell is this”!
They ate and drank up and down Bourbon Street, before sharing their first kiss outside the Cats Meow. Cory says, “I knew right then and there that I would marry her.”
With the two now living in Las Vegas, their shared passion for hospitality. Lauren (a Catering Manager at the Four Seasons) and Cory (a restauranteur who knows a number of outlets in Las Vegas and beyond) both value food quality, service, and a feeling of community.
The two took pride in planning this wedding together. With such deep roots in the local food and beverage community, my bride and groom went to great lengths to keep their special day personal and private. The Revere Golf Course and Country Club served as the idea venue miles off the Las Vegas Strip. Naakiti Floral designed both the ceremony and the reception in white on white florals, with pops of green and alternating table linens. Music and entertainment was courtesy of the Steve Byer Band, and Joy Squad was on hand with an open air photo booth.
What struck me throughout the day - and so clearly comes through in all of these photos - is the insatiable love and laughter that Lauren and Cory share. Never have I seen a groom who smiled and laughed so freely and wildly. And never has a bride been so open to giggles and jokes than this one was. From their first look on the gold course to their vow, and through the moment when the best man announced that he had dedicated a website to the groom's past shenanigans (which we wall promptly opened) this couple laughed their way through the entire day....And I believe that they will laugh together for the rest of their lives.
I was honored to be entrusted with bringing their planning to life. You see, not only do I respect Lauren and Cory as professionals, I like them as people. Their wedding gave me an opportunity to watch two people I adore get married, and I had the extreme pleasure of working with the owners of Studio JK, Joe and Joyce. These Colorado based photographers knocked my socks off, and even snapped a few photos of me that I will always treasure.
Immediately after the wedding Lauren and Cory set off traveling. They recently returned to find a copy of The Wedding Editorialist in their mailbox and posted online. They are as obsessed with their issue as we are with them!
Thank you, Lauren and Cory, for letting me witness a bit of your love story. This is only the beginning!
