"We're trying to be a little bit different..." said the bride, who requested something "stunning" and "sparkling" and "white" with just a little nod to her Chinese heritage. The groom's request? To give guests "a party" unlike anything they had seen before while taking advantage of the "Vegas" backdrop and with a cool, tech twist.
There began our planning, which continued for over 6 months and included weekly conference calls (every Saturday, 10 AM sharp!), text messages, lots of online Etsy shopping and over 976 emails! Each and every moment worth it...The results of our planning were nothing short of spectacular! This Canadian couple got the Las Vegas Wedding of their dreams!
Truth be told, the "stunning" part was easy. Have you seen these two? What a gorgeous couple! Still, a wedding day calls for something special, and nothing short of lux touches would do for this bride! Drawing inspiration from her stunning engagement ring featuring a halo of diamonds, we sought out lux touches and an overload of glamour with custom accessories including a jeweled belt to accent Anais Collezione gown, custom crystal bouquets from Bouquets by Ky, and a dazzling hair comb hand crafted by Vivi Girl.
Oh, and the shoes? Jimmy Choo!
With hair & makeup expertly handled by the lovelies of Your Beauty Call, we set off to the rooftop of Chateau Nightclub and Gardens for a first look.
Chateau Nightclub & Gardens is one of Las Vegas' premiere destinations, perfectly mixing the soft and romantic with the dramatic and sexy. We took full advantage of the existing decor, staging portraits both inside in front of the oversized, dramatic chandeliers and outside where the Bellagio Fountains and strip danced behind them.
After a their first look My-Lee & James were joined by their bridal party for additional portraits. The bridesmaids were Vegas perfect in short, champagne dresses, while the groomsmen were on trend in slim cut grey suits.
While the group was gathered and taking photos the final touches were being placed at the ceremony location by Naakiti Floral. With the oversized white fireplace as the focal point, and the wish for a"white" and "sparkling" wedding, the space was set with hundreds of floating candles, white rose petals and chiavari chairs. The hanging chandelier glowed red, a nod to My-Lee's heritage and adding just the right amount of edge to keep the space from feeling too sweet.
My-Lee was escorted down the aisle by both of her parents to the sounds of a Spanish guitar. She and James exchanged vows read by Reverend Philip York, and shared a passionate kiss in front of family and friends. I love the first kiss photo - Such an interesting way to capture the moment and include all of the guests!
My-Lee & James were finally Mr. & Mrs. Mitchell! In those moments leading up to "I do!" we managed to give them the dazzling white wedding that they had asked for, with the red accents giving an edge and hinting at what was to come in terms of celebrating My-Lee's heritage. What was coming in terms of the reception was a surprise to everyone....Stay tuned!
