This afternoon, my business Andrea Eppolito Weddings & Events turns 5 years old. FIVE!
As someone who is rarely at a loss for words, I I have to say that I am struggling to express exactly how I feel in this moment, but I will try...
The 5 Things I Am Thinking Right Now....
1. This is a milestone, and requires a celebration!
Most businesses fail within the first year. In fact, Forbes Magazine estimates that 8 out of 10 businesses fail within the first 18 months! So the fact that I was able to turn my "someday" dream job into a reality that it is alive and thriving 5 years later is worth a special moment or two!
Celebrating this milestone means honoring the people I love most! So I booked two tickets to see Barbra Streisand with my mom, put a gorgeous watch on my husband's wrist (thanks to the team at T Bird Jewelers), and last night we went to an incredible dinner SW at The Wynn.
To celebrate my littles there is a big plan for night swimming and Yogurtland, as a little something for me, I got these gorgeous gold disk earrings engraved with a combination of my and my husband's initials, which actually make up the monogram for both of our children. I will be wearing them every day, a physical reminder of my "why".
2. There is SO much more work to do!
The only think worse than not making it to the 5 year mark would be to stop now! As they say, I didn't come this far to only come this far!
In that spirit, I am rededicating myself to the relentless pursuit of knowledge. I will be a student, a teacher, and promise to never stop learning. Engage at The Breakers was the first of several summits I will be attending this year, with The Reverie Balance Retreat coming in just a few weeks, and Engage at The Cloister on my calendar for December.
3. I Didn't Get Here By Myself
How could I ever thank all of the people who helped me get here? From the very first person to put the wedding bug in my ear when I was just 15 to the first couple that entrusted me with their day; there are simply too many to mention!
I want to give a very special thank you to all of my creative partners (you know who you are!) both past and present. You guys make me look good, and I love you for it hard!
4. Where Do I Go From here?
The single most exciting thought in my mind right now is the potential for what the future holds, because I can literally take this anywhere! I am overwhelmed by the work that I have done in Las Vegas, San Diego, Tucson, and beyond. My corporate clients, who you don't see featured much on this page, are as beloved to me as my wedding couples. I am finding a new joy in taking my wedding planning and design process on the road.
Today I am unveiling a new SERVICES menu to help guide my clients through all of the options we offer.
5. What's my favorite wedding? What's the best work I've done?
The next work is my best work. Today, tomorrow, and always; it's my job to be better every time.
To everyone who has had a hand in our success over the last five years...Thank you for making my dreams come true!
