The Knot Rocks The Wedding MBA
Produced by Las Vegas Wedding Planner Andrea Eppolito • Images by Stephen Salazar
This year my Knot family entrusted me to once again design and execute their annual Wedding MBA Event in Las Vegas.
When planning an event for wedding pros, I tent to pull inspiration from the most unlikely source; my kids. Last year, it was all about Maleficent. This year, they are into all sorts of stories and cartoons, balloon animals, and clowns. Which got me thinking....
Ever been to a Dark Circus? Part dream, part nightmare….With the feeling of an old Parisian fair that was lost in time. Designed to feel dusty, dramatic, and muted in white, black and metallics, we welcomed over 850+ guests to the rooftop of Chateau Paris.
One by one, guests ascended a staircase lined with candles, roses, and hydrangeas, passing through velvet drapes and entering into this "all grown up" circus dream. Greeted by a troupe of carni-folk as they passed under an aerialist pouring champagne, our fellow wedding pros posed for photos and enjoyed cocktails before heading to the rooftop. With the fountains of Bellagio dancing across the street, and the sounds of DJ Austin Beaver spinning from above, we layered acrobatic mime acts with fortune tellers, hand spun cotton candy, and a canopy of umbrellas. This was a once in a lifetime event that I could not have been more proud of, and I owe it all to the stunningly brilliant creatives we worked with....Lucia of By Dzign, Steven Salazar, Exquisite Muse Productions, and - of course - My very best girls from The Knot!
Could this post be any more perfect for Halloween? Did you adore this set up as much as I did? Leave a note for The Knotties and the rest of the team below.
