When Lover.ly asked me if I would style bridesmaids for the Winter 2015, I jumped at the chance! But with all of the amazing fashion, fabrics, jewels, and shoes, I couldn't pick just one look! I admit, I went a little wild while playing with Polyvore, but it was all too good!
My first instinct was to play with with a rich, emerald green color palette. To tell you the truth, I am dying to do a dark green wedding and have the whole thing planned out in my mind! While I loved the necklace that the model wore, I really wanted to add a touch of color in a soft, elegant way. The gold and diamonds are glamorous touches, and the midnight black feature shrug is totally unexpected and edgy. And can we talk about the shoes?!?! This dress has such a sexy structure to it, that the shoe needed to have strong lines to hold up against it.
The feather caplet from my first look inspired me to play with texture and fabric, which is when I stumbled upon this beauty from Enzoani. I love the idea of using a dusty, muted base color, and upping the drama and romance with darker, luxe touches in shades of wine. The feature detailing and corsetry of this dress makes a powerful statement, and while the accessories add warmth and depth. Check out the gloves! They are cashmere; so soft, so sexy, and so on trend!
Everything about this dress is a classic, from the true red color to the deep v-neck, the ballet dropped waist, the pockets, and the high low hemline.
A fresh and modern take would be to rough it up with jewels and spikes, on everything from the earrings to the shoes. Or, stick with the classics and add platinum pumps and diamonds studs.
A black, geometric bag could be perceived as lady like or vixen.
Black is always a classic! This formal, one shoulder creation gives bridesmaids endless options in styling. Pair it with white opera length gloves (a la Amal Clooney!) and pearls for a timeless, elegant look, or add black leather and spiked shoes for something darker and edgy. Lace T-straps add a sweetest, and all looks benefit from a swipe of red lipstick.
And my wild card is....The Jump Suit! I have a black tuxedo jumpsuit and I swear, every time I wear it I feel totally sexy and powerful! Give your bridesmaids the ultimate gift in comfort and style with a black romper that can be styled in a super androgynous way with a tuxedo jacket and black pointy stilettos, or soften the look with a fur vest, big pearls, and open toed lace ankle trap sandals.
Thank you to Lover.ly for embracing my style and giving me this very cool assignment!
