Amanda Cohen and Phillip Safarik wanted a wedding on the beach in San Diego and that, my friends, is precisely what they got!
What a pleasure working near the ocean after years in big cities and desert! But more than that, I loved getting to see these two people bring such a unique, personal perspective to their wedding day.
The bride, a trained artist turned doctor, has a natural aversion to flowers, and opted instead to carry a bouquet of seashells and starfish. The groom, a meteroloist for the Navy, wanted to step out of his uniform and casually enjoy the perfect weather he all but planned for the day! In fact, the two used his historic knowledge of the weather and rain patterns of the bay to help select their wedding date...And it did not disappoint!
I need to send out tremendous thanks to those local vendors that accepted this Destination Wedding Planner as one of their own and came together as one seamless team: Sylvia Ramirez and the staff at The Catamaran Resort, Gabby and Travis of Burlap & Blossom Photography, Diane's Flowers, and DJ Brian Stodart - who was absolutely amazing! Truly - What a talent!
The new Mr. & Mrs. Safarik are currently off on a two week honeymoon in Croatia. We cannot wait for them to return so that we can see all of the amazing images from their wedding!
Congratulations, you too! And thank you for bringing me out to San Diego and allowing me to be a part of your day!
