How much do I love helping someone propose?!? There is something so special (and even sexy!) about a man who takes charge and really uses his proposal to make a statement. Not only about himself, but about how well he knows his bride to be, and just how far he is willing to go to make her happy!
This story started on lazy day at home following the Thanksgiving weekend. My phone rang, and on the line I found a very charming and very excited Steve Ott. Steve, a pro hockey player with a reputation for being fearless on the ice, took a turn for the romantic while planning just how to propose to his long time girlfriend, the beautiful Erica.
After talking about how they met and fell in love, the things they liked to do, and Erica's passions it didn't take long for Steve and I to settle on a plan. Being big time foodies, the two often go out to elaborate dinners where they can enjoy food, wine and each other. That became the story line which would allow Erica to get all dolled up while not suspecting what was to come! A quick call to celebrated Chef Tom Moloney of AquaKnox was all it took to secure their water encased wine tower with a table for two. The stage was set!
When Steve arrived I was waiting at the door, pretending to be a hostess. I sat them in the wine room, gave them an overview of the menu, and introduced them to the sommelier for wine selections. After commenting on how amazing they looked together I mentioned that we had a staff photographer available to take photos if they wished. A photography buff herself, Erica jumped at the chance to replace a lost Valentine's Day photo with a new one.
Unbeknownst to Erica, the photographer on hand was none other than John Michael Cooper of Alt F, and the photo she was about to take was not going to replace her Valentine's photo, but would instead capture their engagement!
As JMC took a few quick shots, Steve shook off his nerves and dropped to one knee. Erica squealed as he asked for her hand in marriage! And, of course, said YES!
The next day Erica was met in suite by the lovely and talented Lori J White who styled her hair and make-up for their formal engagement photos in the Alt F Studio.
The result was nothing short of spectacular! Erica looks every inch the bride to be, and you can tell that Steve simply adores her!
Add a vintage Bentley into the mix and these engagement photos prove to be romantic, sexy and timeless all at once. Just like the two of them!
Thank you Steve and Erica for allowing me to be a part of your love story! I cannot wait for you to return to Las Vegas so we can meet for cocktails and reminisce back at the scene of your engagement!
