New Year's Eve Wedding by Las Vegas Wedding Planner Andrea Eppolito.

Still got that holiday spirit?  This wedding is for you. Totally glamorous and art-deco inspired, the bride wanted something reminiscent of Gatsby on New Year's Eve, and we delivered her a gorgeous evening!

One of the things about designing an "inspired by" event is that you need to have restraint.  Too many nods and elements like clocks and boas, and the room looks like a costume party.  Too little, and you miss the point.  For Emily and Cameron, everything started with the dress.  She had fallen in love with a beautiful, strapless dress by Badgley Mischka with stunning beading and lace patterns.  With her long dark hair and elbow length veil, the look was naturally art deco.

We searched for a space that would naturally lend itself to drama.  The very top floor of The Palms Hotel was just about to be converted to a new space, and was available for one last party!  The darkness of the room, the texture and shimmer of the walls, and the dramatic black chandeliers were a perfect base that allowed us to bring in hundreds of candles and lush white flowers.  We used a lot of hydrangea to create pockets of clouds and softness, which we balanced with the pointed edges and lines of our deep gold charger plates.  Those edges showed up again on our cake in the form of spikes and edges.

Emily walked down the aisle through hundreds of candles.  Cameron, surrounded by his children, waited for her beneath an acrylic chuppah topped with florals.  Their vows, personal and sweet, gave way to a stunning reception filled with flowers and lights.  DJ Benny Black, resident DJ at The Palms Hotel, kept the dance floor full until way after 2:00 AM.

Throughout the night, our newlyweds toasted and danced, celebrated with their friends, and took care of the littles in their new blended family.  I have been so lucky to see them again and again, to share lunches, and spend afternoons together now that they live in Las Vegas.

The Palms is undergoing construction, the space has come and gone, and soon they will unveil a new room, with new designs, and a new view. But for one night it was perfect, and we will always have the memories of that night.

Congratulations Emily & Cameron!
