Life, in and of itself, is a luxury. Finding love in that lifetime...That is the ultimate luxury!
Today, there seems to be a call towards pragmatism. The current climate makes many feel as if they should defer to responsibility and practicality. And yet now more than ever I feel that we need to live life luxuriously.
Buddhists call for "the joyful participation in the sorrows of the world." I love that. For much like the breaking of the glass in Jewish tradition, the Easter celebration after a time of Lent, so on and so forth, it is an acknowledgement of the fact that while sometimes, in life, we all encounter hard times and pain, there is a higher power of some sort that wants us to revel in the happiness that the universe provides.
Celebrate the extraordinary love you have in an extraordinary way. Your way. Maybe that means a ridiculously beautiful couture dress. An aisle hugged by the luminosity of a thousand candles. Vintage champagne. Jewels. 8 mm cinematography, white glove service, Spanish steps leading to the church.
So today, and every day...Live...And Love...Luxuriously!
