What would you like to see more of at weddings?
Las Vegas Wedding Planner Andrea Eppolito talks weddings as a part of the Wedding Industry Experts Q&A panel.
Question: What would you like to see more of at weddings?
Answer: In my weddings I am always asking for couples to bring me one thing from their home. There should be a touchstone that puts them at ease, that they can look at and feel connected to. A blanket, a frame, their favorite coffee mug for the early morning getting ready session. That thing that makes them feel like themselves and connects them to their "real life" and reminds them of who they are and why they are doing this.
To expand on this just a touch more, I am often quoted as saying that I plan weddings like I decorate my house...My goal is to surround myself with people I love, and things that carry the energy of amazing experiences. I am drawn to anything real and rooted in truth...I crave it! And so any time that I as a wedding planner can pull from the couple's day to day life and turn the ordinary house hold object into a conversation piece I jump at the chance!
What do you love that you use or see every day? Is it a vase? A blanket? Maybe it's a pillow, a frame, or even a piece of jewelry. On your wedding day, you should be surrounded by the things that bring you comfort and joy. I encourage you to bring one special "can't live without this" piece to your wedding designer and ask them to incorporate it into your day.
