Today's modern family is made up of daddies, mommies, plus ones and minus a fews. But regardless of what relationship exists between you and your's, today is a day to celebrate the all of the mommies of the world! The women - whether it be through biology, adoption or sheer will and devotion - make the world a better place for all of us. After all, it's the mommies that we tend to first confide in when we fall in love and have our hearts broken. It's the mommies we cal when we get sick. More often than not, men will say, "Mom, I'd like to ask her to marry me..." and a girl's first phone call starts with, "Mom, I'm engaged!" And don't even start me on dress shopping!
Sometimes it's mommy getting married. And when a bride has children the emotions of the day are taken to a whole other level. It isn't just the commitment of husband and wife, but about the future happiness of the babies (no matter how old those babies are) that get to see the marriage unfold.
So celebrate your mom - or mother figure - today in a way that is personal, meaningful, and befitting of the love you have.
To celebrate I am sharing a few of my favorite photos featuring the moms out there!
And on a personal note ~
You taught me everything I needed to know about love, strength, commitment and more just by being you! Thank you is never enough...
And To My Babies,
Being your mother is the greatest privilege of my life. You make me laugh, cry, wonder and sigh. Seeing your little hands and feet and smiles, listening to your sounds, and spying on you when you don't know I'm watching has made my life in every way!
Mommy love you!
