Today's modern family is made up of daddies, mommies, plus ones and minus a fews. But regardless of what relationship exists between you and your's, today is a day to celebrate the amazing men who raise children, wipe noses, sing lullabies, teach kids how to ride a bike, and more!
On your wedding day, consider honoring your father with a dance - In my family, it is tradition to use Daddy's Little Girl, a song that makes me cry literally every time I hear it. If a dance is simply not possible, incorporate photos of you two together, or even a picture of a grandfather or other father figure. You can also carry a memento tied to your bouquet, have a reading, or light a candle in memory or in honor of the man (or men) who brought you to where you are today.
Whatever it is you may choose to do, or not to do, just be sure that it is personal, meaningful, and befitting of the love you have.
To celebrate I am sharing a few of my favorite wedding daddy-daughter photos.
And on a personal note ~
To My Daddy,
While distance and circumstance may separate us in our day-to-day lives, I think of you, love you, and cherish you each and every day. You always said I could do anything, and so I did. Thank you for showing me what a real man is.
And always remember, above and beyond all men, I loved you first, Daddy!
To My Tony,
My best friend, my love, and my partner in all things...
There is no one I would rather take this journey with. Our children are luckier than they know, and I am forever bettered by having you in my life. You make everything possible, and I will love you for all time and always...
