Lately, however, there has been a trend developing where clients are asking, "And? What else? Where else? What's different?" The truth is, many people have been in Las Vegas. They have seen the strip, experienced the wonder, and now couples are looking for the unexpected. Everyone wants to be "in the know" and do something different, and right now...Different is off strip!
As a wedding planner in Las Vegas, I find that I am often planning for couples that are visiting from other cities, states and countries. To them, Las Vegas means The Strip. My local couples are, too, are drawn to the bright lights, beautiful ballrooms, and world class dining and entertainment options on Las Vegas Boulevard, making their special event feel even more special.
The timing couldn't be better! Celebrated chefs and restauranteurs have set their sights on the outer edges of the city, and everyone from tourists to conventioneers, couples, and even Eater.com are following!
From time to time I will be spotlighting local venues for your consideration, and I am so excited to start with Vintner Grill! Widely regarded as one of the first local restaurants to bring strip style dining and service to locals, Vintner is a hidden gem in Summerlin. With it's expansive indoor and outdoor seating options, semi private cabanas, epicurean menu, and black and white decor punctuated by pops of jade green, Vintner is the power-lunch spot that Vegas calls home on Monday - Fridays.
But the weekends - This is where we find some pretty extraordinary opportunities! The restaurant is closed to the public on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, making it an ideal location for bridal showers, private brunches, and afternoon weddings. The special events team, lead by Patrick Bryant, works closely with their chefs to create menus that are fun and inventive, with cocktails and wine to match, naturally!
Over the years, I have helped couples propose in the private cabanas, hosted luxury elopements and dinners on the patio, and even helped plan bridal showers with charcuterie stations and Bloody Mary bars! Not to mention the fact that Vintner offers off site catering, allowing guests to bring them home or to any other venue that allows outside catering!
