Brides Across America celebrates Veteran's Day at Couture Bride Las Vegas
BRIDES ACROSS AMERICA AND COUTURE BRIDE TO HONOR VETERANS
AND TROOPS VETERANS DAY WEEKEND
“Operation Wedding Gown” will give free wedding gowns to military brides!
So often we get wrapped up in what I like to call "the pretty" of wedding planning. The flowers, the photos, the number of courses served and the wine. It always impressed me when couples graciously take the opportunity to give back by arranging favors in the form of donations, donating flowers to local hospitals, etc. And now I am thrilled to tell you about an amazing and generous event designed to give back to our military!
Each year Brides Across America salutes our troops by making dreams come true for hundreds of military brides. As part of Brides Across America’s commitment to support our troops and veterans, the non-profit organization will host their 6th annual bridal gown giveaway at salons nationwide. From coast to coast, bridal salons are honoring veterans by giving away free wedding gowns as a thank you for their service to this country.
Las Vegas’ premier bridal salon, Couture Bride, will host an Operation Wedding Gown giveaway event for military brides this Sunday, November 11, 2012, from 9am till 3 pm. In order to qualify, brides or their fiancé must be serving in the military; either currently deployed or deployed within the last five years to Iraq, Afghanistan, Bahrain, Libya, Korea or Japan. Identification and deployment papers must be presented at Couture Bride to qualify.
“Many military brides find it difficult to plan their dream wedding due to deployment, injury or economic circumstances,” said Dawn Heaney, owner and partner of Couture Bride. “We hope that our contribution will not only alleviate some of their stress, but will also be a part of giving these amazing women beautiful memories that will last a lifetime.”
Brides Across America founder, Heidi Janson, wants to continue making dreams come true. “My goal is to make sure we don’t forget all the servicemen and women overseas fighting for our freedom,” she said. “It is imperative at this point for Brides Across America to continue growth and to make a bigger difference by gaining more support from bridal salons and designers.” Since its inception in 2007, Brides Across America has donated more than 8,000 wedding gowns from prominent designers worldwide.
Regardless of your political views, your party affiliation, or the fights you may have seen on Facebook, this is one event that we can all support! After all, every and any woman who wants to marry should have the chance to be a beautiful bride in a beautiful dress!
