Come behind the scenes and check out Alice and Jimmy's Wedding at Chateau Nightclub and Gardens at the Paris Las Vegas!
When Alice first called, she had booked the venue and started putting together her wedding dream team. But beyond the color palette and venue, there wasn't much else that had been finalized. And so we set off together to plan a wedding that embraced Alice and Jimmy's love of color, graphic arts, and music.
Alice became known as my "Whatever, I trust you" Bride. Anything that happened - and sometimes, it felt like everything was happening - she took in total stride and responded with "Whatever, I trust you." Sometimes, that meant moving the ceremony and reception. Other times, it meant that we had to reconfigure the team. And at other times, it meant taking my word on some partners that she had never heard of or spoken to, and knowing that it would all be alright.
When Alice and Jimmy arrived in Las Vegas, all I wanted was to show that I had earned that trust, and give them more than they asked for. Our day was not without incident! While helping to set up a photo, a statue fell on my foot, breaking two toes and dislocating a third! But as luck would have it, a member of the wedding was a surgeon. He taped me up and had me back on my feet (literally!) before the bride even slipped into her dress.
Alice & Jimmy enjoyed a first look in their suite at The Paris Hotel, and then we piled them (and their bridal party) into our cars and headed downtown, taking advantage of the street art and allowing photographer Adam Frazier to get some great, colorful shots before the ceremony.
The wedding itself came together beautifully. The indoor ceremony at Chateau Nightclub was lit in purple and red for a sexy, high drama feel. A long time friend officiated the ceremony, and DJ Mike Fox provided the music.
Upstairs in the Chateau Gardens, Naakiti Floral took the bride's Peacock Feather inspiration and turned it into a wedding dressed in shades of purples and teal blue, with accents of jade green and white. With the food and beverages being handled in house, a wedding cake was designed by Alice's pastry chef from Dolce Bistro in California.
During dinner, Alice's brother surprised the crowd by serenading the couple with a rendition of Billy Joel's "Just the Way You Are" and they were toasted by friends and family, who spoke of the couple's 10 year love affair dating all the way back to college!
Both a photo booth from Adam Frazier and a flip book station from A Flying Camera were on hand to provide additional documentation and souvenirs for the guests, along with personalized flip flops to keep guests comfortable as the night raged on...
And thank God we had them! From the moment DJ Mike Fox invited everyone out onto the dance floor, the party just didn't stop! In fact, we rolled right into the nightclub without taking a moment's break! Even the kids got into the spirit, playing with faux guitars. They had to be dragged from the dance floor and taken up to bed, which was so sweet! They would have stayed all night, but this is a 21 year and older venue!
We surprised Alice and Jimmy with confetti canons, and then Alice surprised us back with an adorable dress change.
Now that the wedding has come and gone, I cannot thank Alice and Jimmy enough for putting their trust in me. We've been in touch on email and text, and Alice wrote me the most over whelming testimonial and thank you note!
And with that I thank the many people who came together and partnered with us on Alice and Jimmy's Las Vegas Wedding!
