The last thing Amanda thought when she headed into the coffee shop after a workout is that she would be meeting her future husband. But as she waited in line, reading her book, she heard a snicker coming from behind. Turning, she found a very tall standing behind her, reading her love story over her shoulder. Tried as she might, she simply could not ignore him. He wouldn't let her. And when she went to sit, he followed. His excuse? He needed to know how the story ended.
18 months later, we know exactly how this love story ends...With a fabulous engagement for his Navy man and his doctor bride!
Amanda and Phillip celebrated their engagement with a beautiful photo shoot courtesy of Burlap and Blossom. They started with Phillip in uniform, because...well...who doesn't love a man in uniform?!?! I love that Amanda coordinated her outfit with the red, white, and blue! Super cute!
Then, the two returned to their apartment to change, which is where Gabriella shot some of my favorite photos. They are just so sweet and so relaxed - It's one reason that I love having engagement shoots done at home. Put people at ease, and magic happens!
Soon after, Amanda and Phillip took to the town they love so much! Avid outsiders, Amanda hopped on her pink tricycle, a gift from her groom to be, and the two enjoyed the gorgeous San Diego weather!
Even their pet Gnome made an appearance! He has traveled with them and is a very important part of the family. No word yet on whether or not he is invited to the honeymoon!
The couple who swings together...Wait. That's not right...
On a personal note, I first met Amanda when she was an undergrad at UNLV. Over the years, I have watched her grow and move as she chased her dreams and became a doctor. I've gotten to know her family, her friends, and I can truly say that I have never seen her as happy or as completely in the right place of life as I have since she met Phi lip. He has completed her in every possible way, and I could not be more thrilled for the two of them.
The hours of time we have spent planning this wedding, the text messages, the emails, the phone calls...I have no doubt that when they meet at the end of the aisle, their wedding will be a perfect reflection of who they are and what they mean to one another.
Happy Planning until that day comes...
