Las Vegas is a major wedding destination, and most of my brides come to me from far off corners of the world. So when Michelle called me last year, I was thrilled to hear from a local Las Vegas bride! What I didn't expect were the 101 ways that she and I were connected, or the ways in which her fiancé, Michael, and I were about to become connected! First, it turns out that Michelle works at STRIPSteak, a restaurant my husband had opened nearly 8 years ago. Her maid of honor, Tiffany, worked with him and married another F&B executive that we have known for years. The circle of friends we shared grew as we talked, and it turns out that we had even been to the same wedding together years before as guests, but never met. Working together was a great fit, made even better a few months later when her fiancé, Mike, became a trainer at our gym. Our circle was complete, and we set off together in wedding planning.
Michelle wanted a wedding that merged her love of food with Michael's Chinese heritage in a soft and romantic way. We put together a team of amazing partners that came together and gave Michelle and Michael all they could have asked for.
The wedding day started early with a traditional Chinese Tea Ceremony at Michael's parent's home.
Then, the girls headed to The Cosmopolitan where they enjoyed champagne and snacks during hair and makeup.
A limo transported everyone to Siena Golf Club for the ceremony and reception, where Michelle had arranged to surprise her groom and his family with traditional lion dancers!
Ella Gagiano and her team were on hand to provide photography, videography, and even a photo booth. While we wait for the professional images to come through, let me share a few of my own pictures taken throughout the day. Choosing was hard - they were all so stunning, and I took over 1,200 photos and videos throughout the day!
Michelle recently stopped by to leave me a Thank You note and pick up a few things that she had left behind at her wedding. She loved the photos, and couldn't believe that I was able to send her a video the morning after her wedding! She said, "Mike and I woke up the next morning and got your video and thought, 'Doesn't she ever sleep?'" The truth is, yes...I do! But after a wedding I am so wired that I come home, curl up, and go through all of the photos and video clips while I unwind. Within a day I drop them into a slideshow, video, or Dropbox and send them over to my couple so they have something to look at and post and send out to friends and family. Or, just to keep as a preview of what's to come.
Because the truth is, no one should have to wait to relive the "Best Day Ever"!
